Om Malik, who had aleady been a client of ours with his own blog and NewTeeVee, both in 2007, has asked us to revamp his new personal blog omis.me.
This new blog embodies a radical life change of Om Malik, going back to simplicity and enjoying simple things, leaving the fast-paced and stressful life of the technology blogger.
Om asked us to redesign his blog theme to reflect this new vision of life, while keeping some ideas of the previous design. We came up with a kind of retrò, calm and simple design, based on warm colours, everyday objects and hand-written sketches. The idea was to make it look like the log or scrapbook of a digital traveller.
Based on WordPress 2.7 and making use of a custom-developed Twitter widget, the new theme is receiving a warm response from Om Malik’s readership.
